Please note the revised North American rules on the download page. These will be the rules in force at GenCon.
As of now we have still have 1 open slot for the Battle of Helms Deep and 12 for the Tournament. Based on what I believe, we will have another two slots taken in the tournament for a total of 6 players. I hold out some hope that some Michigan and Chicago players may yet find their way to Indy.

As of July 10 the fun event is sold out. If you are out in the cold on this one, send me a pm or stop by at the championship Thursday and I will try to find a way to work you with generics.
There are now 5 registered players for the championship leaving 11 slots open.

Greetings and salutations LOTR TMG community!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great to see and hear that there are still some of you playing our beloved game. It's been 3 years since I've played and man do I miss it. I went down to my garage (cobwebs and spiders and all) and pulled out some of my old minis and put together a 1500 pt team. Took me some time to recollect how to do it (ie; leaders, minions, command points, etc.) and I perused the updated rules. I am going to try and participate in the championship, but I'm not sure if I will be able to. I am a judge and participant in Star Wars Minis (my schedule is pretty full), which next month will be my 6th year doing so! I would at least like to stop by and say "hi" and maybe get in a practice game with somebody. I am so rusty and hazy about the rules and strategy from lack of playing, that I may be more of a distraction, rather than a worthy opponent:) Either way, hope to see you guys at the Con! "Prepare for battle!"

Excellent.
We are not even close to full for the championship, so we can be flexible. Keep an eye on registration, if it looks like it is filling you may want to buy a ticket. Otherwise, play it by and ear and grab some generics.
As for rust, I have not played since GenCon last year and have played in a tournament since CinciCon 08. So you will be in good company.
Hopefully we can make GenCon an annual happening.

Based on messages received by either Gvey or myself here is the outlook for Gencon 10
Have tickets
JMLawson
MJLawson
Gvey
RebelAlliance
JDTenor
Will get tickets on site
Vanguish
Big Coin
3 X children of BigCoin (if I'm remembering Gveys information accurately)
Maybes
Lauren (probably not, but you never know...)
Dunedain (depends on his Star Wars Events)
So I'm guessing we will wind up in the 9 to 12 range. Not bad, not bad.

I sent pms to Foe and Ruk. Got a no from Ruk because he will be at a wedding, but he expressed interest. Nothing from Foe.
One of the Michigan players (Hurin i think) expressed interest in the the thread in general discussion, but nothing since. Kboleen is over on Heroscapers and responded with a no, too far from Florida.
We have a fair number of unkown players for the fun event. Not sure what that is about, but we will see who shows up. I'm guessing we may be teaching the game to some of them.

I will be heading out the door very shortly. See you all in Indy.
I'm taking my camera and wireless portable, so there may be reports and pics from Indy. Probably not real time as I don't want to lug all that around the convention center, but certainly by the next day.
Thanks to Vanguish and Gvey for bringing figures to round out the battle of Helm's Deep on Saturday.
